I painted Rory or Quiet Easy 4 many years ago for @jessicabotham1 as she had produced him and he was moving on... ( to @benmaherofficial ) and I followed his 5* showjumping career with Ben, then @bertramallen , then @johansgulliksen and finally @jh.gulliksen @theagulliksen He was at the yard I was at in Norway last month and was ready to be retired. I had just taken a photo of him and sent it to Jessica saying 'look who's here.' I didn't know he was due to be retired at this point. I mentioned on my way to the Drammen show to @elisabeth_gulliksen that I had painted him a long time ago and it was then I was told they were looking for a place to retire him as Norway doesn't have the climate. I told Jessica who with-out hesitating said she would have him to keep her young stock in check! 4 weeks later and a few phone calls and messages he arrived yesterday!
Rory has won ££££'s and has totally earned this wonderful retirement with this loving family at the @bothamshowjumpers It was fate that I wondered down the stable block whilst I was waiting for a horse to come out to be photographed and I saw his name. Thank-you @jh.gulliksen

Pics are way back in 1996 when I was delivering the portraits to The Queen at Buckingham Palace . The one of the Dorgi sitting was the Queen's favourite and yes that is her ✋ hand! It was a huge privilege as I got to meet her twice. First time when I went to Windsor castle to take the photos and second when I delivered them to Buckingham Palace.

In fact we were delighted simply to have been chosen.
I mean who wouldn’t have been it’s Lindsay Hill she’s phenomenal!!

Last night, the incredible Danielle Thompson surprises me with the original painting for my birthday!!! 😍😍

I honestly don’t know how to put into words how happy and grateful I am to a) have you in my life and b) for being this painting back into my life 8 years on.
