How to take the perfect photo….

Horses

Position the horse so you can see the whole of one side with the light source behind the photographer. The background doesn’t matter. Have someone else standing by the photographers side shaking a bucket so the horse turns it’s head to look creating a nice shape with the neck so you can just see the other eye.

Take a few slightly different angles then turn the horse around and do the same the other side making sure ears are forward and they are close up and alert. If you want the bridle on the portrait take them with it on, likewise with the headcollar but if you want it off just take a few with it round the neck. I can tidy manes and remove scars but I won’t change the angle so the better the photo, the better the portrait .

Dogs

Sit the dog outside either being held or tied up. Get someone to sit by the photographers side with a toy or biscuit making sure you are both at the same eye level as the dog. Take a few slightly different angles and doing both sides slightly off centre. Close as you can and again, nice and alert.

Cats

ame rules apply but you can stand holding them near a window.
